Mine used to drive straight, now the wheels straight but it pulls to the left, probably something to do with the fact each day i HAVE to drive slowly up a kerb with all four wheels every day to park.....good job they're 55 profile tyres!________________________________________ VW Golf GT TDI 115, 100k nooooooooooooooooooooo! |

has the wing been replaced with a massive magnet that is pulling you towards the crash barriers on the passanger side? |

There are no crash barriers on the passenger side...but the idea of magnetic body parts would be brilliant ________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

I don't think there are...but I think there are at slip roads isn't there? You see those yellow things on them so you don't hit the ends.________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

I had this problem a few months ago, tyre tread and pressures were fine, tracking was fine, wheel bearings were fine etc. I was also scratching my head, anyway i was driving back from the pub one night and i had a blow out on the front drivers side at about 40mph. I absoloutly shat myself as i only just missed a wall which would have destroyed my car On a serious note, i was very lucky it was so late at night and there were no other road users around. So it was p**sin down with rain and i was feelin very shuck up so i left the car where it was and walked the rest of the way home as it wasn't that far away and didn't fancy changing the wheel and getting my jeans covered in mud and s**te. The next day i went and changed the wheel only to find that the problem wasn't a hole in the tyre. It was the wheel, that had split in half Has anyone else ever seen a cyclone split in half??? Anyway since i've replaced the wheel it feels spot on, steering wheel sits straight and theres no pulling too either side. Problem solved Im not trying to worry you but it maybe worth swopping the front wheels for the backs (or a spare set) to see if the pulling stops. craig |

Are you on cyclones or aftermarket? If the offset isn't quite right or they are very wide rims then camber at the edge of the road could affect pull to the left slightly. Wouldn't explain the motorway thing though. ________________________________________ |

Try driving in a big car park or something. Surely all motorways are cambered to the left to drain water? When you're doing 70mph it would only take the slightest gradient to pull to the left? |

well, i have changed both ball joints and both wishbones...still pulls to the left...cant see any problems whilst i was under the car...it starts pulling the minute you start driving, dont matter what speed you is doing... ________________________________________ deaf in 1 eye blind in 1 ear ......307 136bhp daily drive..... 306 rallye stripped out and charged..... lee_gti6 also known as "the tit"..... stan_306gti6 also known as "stan the dick"....... |
