I've been recommended by opie oils for 10w 50 to put in my 6 its just coming to 100,000 miles and its currently got 5w 40 fully synthetic. Shall I stick with what I've got or go by opie's recommendation or put 10w 40 like atandard Any advice will be great thanks jase |

I use it, Or more specifically 10w50 fuchs that they sell. If I look at my cam lobes from the oil filler cap they are smooth as a baby's ass and its done 113k now. So yes I would recommend it. Been using it for 20k+ now and done three changes with it. ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

You don't mention if its road or track, sensible or hard driving? If its the former, stick with what you have, if you load the engine hard and subject the oil to more load and higher temperatures, go for the 10W50, its all about the circumstances.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. monty-69 wrote: Peugeot knows best Very true, and 10w40 will be fine. However, for fast road/track work I would suggest a 10w50 for a bit better protection at the higher temperatures that the lubricating oil will see. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

As Stan says if you going to drive it hard its worth getting for the piece of mind.Which is why i use it. The car is warmed up but once its warm thats about as kind as it gets ________________________________________ Ex- Phase 3 China GTi-6 T-Reg |

I like running mine with 10W50 It's what I had when I was SC. I found that it used 5W40 whereas it doesn't use any 10W50.________________________________________ Ex SC-6Now in a Megane R26 |

I only use Millers 10w60 fully synthetic in the race car and that spends most of its life above 7k. |

Is that with the forged lump though Ash or standard? ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |
