oh its changed! its a georgeous car. will get mine as lush one day! got the manifold off our mutual chum from alton. he thought it would fit my new TU 1.6 lump, but the stud mountings are different, so i think it must have been off the 1.6 16v engine that ive seen . some stainless 4-1 jobby with a custom downpipe for the 205. havent decided weather or not to tit about and modify it to fit yet or just shift it on. just need the car back on the road now! baker bm mounts came today though so thats a start. and my gti6 sold today so thats free'd up some more cash ________________________________________ 1992 205 Rallye - S2 Rallye Engine |

work continues... doing crazy hours on this last few days.. 8.30am - 5.30 pm at work, then straight over to the garage till 10.30.. nackered! but.. engine bay cleaned up a bit more, not as far along as i wanted to be yet, but im going to do an all nighter on friday to get me in a better position on the weekend. cant get the top mount to budge which is a right bugger as its going to start holding me up soon, and how can i get the engine loom out the way more? unplug it inside and just take the lot out? got the brake servo and a chunk of rubbers off though so, can finish wire wheeling all the rust tomorow and get the hydrate 80 to it. would like to have the bay primed friday night and sprayed saturday. other than that i spent a few hours cleaning up the gearbox.. still needs paint but i dont know if ill manage to get it clean enough for that as theres still sludge in the corners and stuff, so i might have to settle for just a clean box and engine and just get some fresh paint on the rocker cover. i can imagine most my friday all nighter will be spent cleaning the parts up and painting them anyway .. pics: . ________________________________________ 1992 205 Rallye - S2 Rallye Engine |

ah, the deadline: in short. my parents are on holiday until the 29th, and im doin this on their drive as i live in a flat in town. but in their garage i also have a 205 gti ive been repainting. and well, its been a sore subject between myself and step father. so that has to be finished and at the stage where its water tight and can be kept outside the garage. - which means i also need all my extra engines and fans and crap gone as well.so yea. 2 deadlines to meet, and i want this out the way ASAP so i can just focus on getting the other painted. the weather really isnt helping matters though as i need to push the shell out the garage to spray the bumpers and stuff. but im having a night of rest today. my brains just not taking in information after 3 18 hour days. so will be rested up for my all nighter tomorow new clutch and what have you came today so im 90% there with the parts now. ________________________________________ 1992 205 Rallye - S2 Rallye Engine |

progress:rust treated all the cacky bits after a wire wheeling, and once that had dried, got the tiger seal out and smoothed over all the joints in the panels to stop any more water finding its way in there and rotting the car out. then a good hour masking up the bay ready for paint! did a few other bits while i was waiting for stuff, all the brackets, bumper mounts, bonnet catch etc, the little details that help it look like some one gave a hoot about it and then primer time! refurbed battery tray slam pannel and bay! good to see some progress as id been in a foul mood with the car all morning and wanted to set fire to the bas**rd. there was another small rust hole i unearthed near the top engine mount, but i rust treated it and as welder mate wasnt on hand, just had to gum some sealer in there so it could be painted. ill patch it with a plate from underneath at some point. least its easy to get to if it needs further attention. will get the white coat on tomorow and try take some snaps of how the gear box and engine clean up is coming along. ________________________________________ 1992 205 Rallye - S2 Rallye Engine |

well, cant say it all went to plan.. as when i rocked up today i found a lovely surprise in my passenger footwell! so, ill sort that out tomorow... but on with the show. brake servo in: and battery tray and mounts and more stuff back in amin fighting with a bolt! and... ready to go in with new clutch etc.. with the help of two more mates, we managed to get the engine on its mounts (which are solid as heck btw! ) and we got the fuel tank in. wirings being done tomorow, and ive got to have welder mate tit about and bodge a lambada sensor thing into a down pipe for me so it will run properly and just generaly get it back in one piece. i dont think it will be driveable monday tho so im stuck being a 'bus w**ker' for another few days... bonnet came down on my head to.. wich was fun. big lump on my head and dizzy ! ________________________________________ 1992 205 Rallye - S2 Rallye Engine |
