No bigger than before is it? Cry

Looking forward to seeing it functional with the lighting, flooring and some nice units. Lots of shadow board please.

To be fair I have struck quite lucky, quote was good to start with, one of the builders vans died so I got him a newer one and that come off the bill, the electrician is my brother, the plumber is a good friend and the painter is an old boy who works for £50 a day, even the tiler did the job in exchange for me putting a new diesel pump on his van.

Works out great to be fair, a lot cheaper than quoted and works well at getting me new customers.

The floor is fully tiled and looks great, the ceiling has also been plastered so its moved on, problem is is dark when I get up and also when I get home to take photos.

    Thanks for all the comments.

I read that as "I have struck quite lucky... one of the builders died", seemed an unlikely was of getting a discount.

Thanks, we are just waiting for the plumber to move the boiler into the new utility room, once that's done the painting can continue, once that's done it's about there, one small issue is the land above the garage entrance is a good two foot higher, trying to get a decent price for someone to remove about 15 tons of soil.

Can't bloody wait to clean up my toys and park them in the new shed. Got a few good illuminated signs and a coca cola fridge, looks cool

Well I will let you see the slow progress, we have now a white garage ceiling, unsure whether it was the best colour to go for but it's done now.

I put my porsche in storage when the building work started and told them it would be for 8 weeks, well it's been nearly 17 and I had to move it out, I took it to my workplace and it was only going to be a matter of time before it got damaged so I cleared some hardcore off the drive and had to find a way to get it in

This was all the crap I had to move-

Bloody forum, won't let me edit a post so here's it all in full.

Well here is an update that's a little long over due, things have been slow as its just the finishing touches to do and getting tradesmen to do small jobs is a nightmare, tiler was meant to finish off the study but still not been, good job I owe him money as I may get someone else in and fob him off.

    Had the utility all painted-

Even the ceiling in the garage done white, unsure whether that was a wise choice.

I had put one of my toys in storage when the build started and only did it for 10 weeks, now we are into our 17th week it had to come out, I took it to my workplace but it would only be a matter of time before it got damaged so decided to bring it home today.

First of all I had to move a load of hard core, started with this-

Ended with this which believe it or not was bloody hard work-

Still a little problem of this, it's a good 2ft drop at least-

Well now was the time to get some of the old garage roof trusses and a few bricks to try and level it all out, I have to say my fingers and toes were securely crossed, at this point it also started to p**s it down-

As you can see its quite a height I was trying to manage-

    Nearly there-

She is finally in and no damage done, phew-

Now parked, the electricians will be happy working around it I am sure-

    Carl

Bloody hell, brave man! Would not have been pretty if those boards hadn't held. White is definitely best for the ceiling, will make the room so much brighter to work in Yes

Should you not have painted the walls before you had the plumbing and electrics put in? Those spots look lovely, this a garage or a car showroom?!
