Hi, does anybody know what the plate is on the rear brakes, the calipers bolts old it up against the calipers, I am missing one but the brakes are absolutely fine and I'm not even sure what this plate thing is for.
Its like the one here on e bay:
Look at this on eBay:

Peugeot 106 Brake Caliper Bolts (S1 Bendix & S2 Non Vent & S2 Rear Discs)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-106-Brake-Caliper-Bolts-S1-Bendix-S2-Non-Vent-S2-Rear-Discs-/261044683039

Thanks andy

its a locktab.

£2.60 from a dealer with the two bolts LOL good old 106 parts profiteering from the 106 scene, same parts as the 306 btw.

same as found on the bendix front calipers as well, so plentiful in breakers yards if one is more convenient than a pug dealer.

Well that's exactly what I thought, mine twisted when I tried to tighten it so I took one look, saw it was no better than a washer so chucked it and put on a washer instead.

If over tightened you may find your caliper won't slide properly.

It's supposed to lock the bolt heads when they dig in, which is why it's soft as s**t, but I never found one where rthey dug in enough to help, so I just knock the edges over onto one of the bolt flats so it locks them properly.

does anybody know which way round these should go and which way they face?
they have like a long tab bit on one end and they are bent/curved/dished.
im not sure if the dish/bend/curve should face in or out and im not sure if (not that it will make a difference but be nice to have it right way) the tab bit goes to the top or bottom
thanks andy

They should go like this Andy..

Ha ha - looking at that pic you cant relly tell but they bow out towards the middle of the car, instead of dishing in towards the caliper
