Think that sums it up. These cars get good miles to the tank when you want them to. Ive driven possibly 30 miles when the light has been on but never really past that as i dont really want to tempt running out.I dont have a jerry can in the boot and getting stranded across the country doesnt sound like my idea of fun really so i just fill up when the red lights been on for 20miles or so. But yeah like you say i would expect around the 450mile mark if i kept going. Thats pretty damn good for what they are to be fair.... When you consider the HDI is in comparrison getting upto 700miles. ________________________________________ ''Oh, it does handle like a golf!'' Why drive a Golf....when you can drive a GTi-6? |

Got 475 out of the missus one the other week, which included a bit of spirited driving... worked out at something like 32mpg.We have seen 38mpg from it, but that's driven REALLY gently. If you want MPG, buy a diesel... oh wait there - I did ![]() JP ________________________________________ HDI Engine Tuning / Remapping Services - https://www.facebook.com/dervtech306 GTi-6 Track Car - 200+ hp all N/A! 306 DTurbo Track beasty - 209.9hp - RIP |

I average 300-350 from a tank, most I've ever had was in the rallye in denmark i think it was, 460 miles, 101 ron and we were sitting pretty quick.________________________________________ cress87 wrote: I'm stopped for speeding on a daily basis but now the police are aware that I live for the 306 they dare not interfere, just sit in their cars quaking as I drive past. |

I should point out that i rarely do get 400+, usually i get to 300 miles before the light comes on or isnt far off coming on.Nowadays i just fill the tank every week once the working week is over. ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

jammamayhew wrote: On that, I believe if I drove motorway miles, the very best could potentially be around 500 miles on my 6. No balls**t as I know some wont believe it but the above is fact, so take pugfest and fast driving out of that equation and it'll be close to 500 miles I'm sure. Oh, there's no 'potentially' about it: you will see 500. It's more than possible, the problem is you'll likely need to be doing a non stop motorway drive for those 500 miles. That's not common in the UK given that we're very small. Even Exeter to Glasgow is less than 500. Next time you're heading to the Côte d'Azur, give it a go. Driving the whole journey on motorways and encountering only 1 cold-start in 500 miles really pays off. ![]() |

In my view, it is TOTALLY down to how the vehicle is driven. If I go on track with mine, I can rinse a tank in 70 miles driving absolutely flat out, however on a long road run at a steady but swift pace I can manage 380 miles on that same tank. The only differential between those two scenarios is me, the driver. Therefore, when some say "I can get 400 miles" and other say "I struggle to get 300" it is purely down to how economical you drive. I can drive very economically, I can also drive like an animal the choice is there. Obviously, if you drive like Miss Daisy and can't get past 200 to a tank, then yes, there is a problem which should be investigated but if you drive "normally" then you will get whatever return you get depending on how skillful you are at saving fuel whilst still making progress in my opinion. ![]() ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone ![]() |
