Evening guys and girls.

Just wanted to drop a note to say thanks for all the help you guys have been while I owned the Rallye. The knowledge and advice on here was invaluable. Well worth a fiver in my eyes, but that's another debate

Sticking with my don't-keep-a-car-too-long-when-there's-so-many-to-try plan, I decided that 18,000 miles was enough in one car and it was time for a change, so I traded it in against a Nissan 350z. Didn't see the point getting another hot hatch, couldn't think of anything that would be a significant step up, so I had to look sideways to something rear wheel drive.

The Rallye was in pretty good nick went it went, but I didn't want the hassle and delays of a private sale after I'd found the car I wanted, so if anyone finds T179 LRT at a traders or on ebay and wants some info, feel free to message me!

Think it was £500 and the bloke wasn't going to try and sell it himself, so it'll turn up at an auction or something.

Shame to see it go for so little. Steering was starting to feel a little funny but so much on the car had been renewed. Still drove lovely.

Sadly not bud.

Hopefully if traders keep not knowing what a Rallye is, someone can pick it up for a bargain.

Realistically thats what its worth in the trade. To most its just a 13 yr old french hatch with a thirsty 2 litre engine, with limited resale value.

Enthusiasts will always see it differently.

To be honest the bodywork wasn't very tidy and the seats were a bit ratty, so I doubt I could have got much more by selling privately. To me, the convenience of getting it all done and dusted in one go was worth taking a bit of a hit.

Talking of thirsty tho, this Nissan's in a different league. The computer was saying less than 15mpg for my commute! All in stopstart traffic tho, gets better out of town.

Cheers David, It's much nicer than a 306 on the motorway or in traffic and just pottering about and that, but I still don't know if it's as much fun 'in the twisties' when you're really going for it.

Hopefully mine'll get up to those lofty figure when I've stopped driving it like a tit.

Probably do one of those little 20 minute tasters first, check it's not too fat and heavy for track.
