Also considering selling on as I can't afford Ash's kit to go with it really. Had hoped to run with 406 V6 calipers like RichW initially but doesn't appear to be recommended.

What has everyone paid for these? I've just acquired a pair and want to know if I've overpaid or not. Also considering selling on as I can't afford Ash's kit to go with it really. Had hoped to run with 406 V6 calipers like RichW initially but doesn't appear to be recommended. Darren |

daver6 wrote: It'll be more fun if you tell us how much you paid? Well I paid £300 for the pair. I know there are more expensive sets on eBay but I was hoping to make a decent not too expensive setup. Doesn't look likely now. |

There's some reasonable irony in not being able to afford the brake kit because you spent all your money on the calipers ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

So I wasn't robbed, I just seemed to have paid top whack? Like I said, on eBay they are fetching £200 each.buzzbrightyear wrote: I'll swap you for a gti6 setup that's recently refurbed and powder coated silver, with braided hoses and newish grooved discs and newish ferrodo ds2500 pads I could be interested in this. I'm still arranging a courier so will let you know condition when they arrive. |

Let me know mate, I'll defiantly swap, but if there in a mess I might need some persuasion if you want to see mine they are featured in my project thread somewhere. I'll even throw in a set of 200 mile use mintex road pads aswell as the 3k mile ferrodo ds2500's ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

I probably did pay a little over the top for mine but at the time the prices seemed to be going up. After missing out on two used sets for £200+ that I would've had to have overhauled because there was no way they were going on the car unless I knew they were 100% right, so when a brand new set came up I just paid the £300 asking price and had done with it.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. It's safe to say that it comes down to your luck on the day.
