I had a 1.8 Audi A4 last year for £1k. It was the estate so loads of room, was very solid, clean, no rust and very reliable.________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

Unless shes 17 I suppose. She's 34 so insurance isn't too bad, but she has bugger all money so its a stretch to find the £600 a year she currently pays for her Vectra 2.0 (Thats a lot, I'll be trying to get her a better deal than that too) ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. If you can stretch to a bit more then what about a Leon 1.8t 180? I bought one for work and although not the prettiest car it has fsh leather and aircon that works, I got mine for £1500 but it's on low miles |

They are a big coupe though. Not like trying to fit people in the back of an Alfa GTV or something. Not trying to justify it as a family car though.f**king cheap car mind. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. ST170?! a rotbox slower than agit6... 1.8 vag's aren't great on fuel, anything HDi will be good, as would VW group diesel, both have their issues, some to steer clear of certain engine variants, Octavia IMO is a good car to look at. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

ST170's are pretty cr*p, Even when I did the UK launch I was surprised how slow it was, handling was good and that's about the only + I could find, Rust is the same on Mondeo's too, a mate of mine had a ST24 and sold it when he found out how rotten it wasAs for a sensible car, ???? ________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

Are they that rust prone? I don't tend to think of 'modern' cars like that as being rust magnets (I should know better with the amount of metal I have to replace on our Transits)I know they are slower than a 6 but they are a little bigger and hopefully a bit less fragile? ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Why is a Focus a "crap" car? Most owners rave about them and the fact that it's slower than a 6 doesn't make it crap.________________________________________ Less than 24 hours to go! |

always found a 306 to be more practical unless its a mk2 focus, which is significantly heavier and larger.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Looks like we will be getting a Lexus IS200, Toyota reliability mixed with rear drive should at least be mildly entertaining while remaining fairly sensible. I was so close to persuading her to go halves with me on yippeekayays Scooby, cold feet from her at the last minute scuppered that plan tho ________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. The suspension the zetec gets makes a hell of a difference, or at least the ones I have driven. Both 1.6's one zetec and one not. Zetec model was ace, standard one was absolute rubbish.________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |
