Hi all, I've got a new (non-rusty) subframe to fit along with new fixings from Pug and just want to check I've got all the bits. I've done a forum search and didn't find anything specific. I simply asked the parts guy for "all the bolts and mounts that attach the subframe to the car" and what I've got is:

6 x Long bolts 3509 25
2 x Square end nuts 3510 10
6 x Washers 6949 03
4 x Small bolt incl washer 6923 66 (?part no handwritten and difficult to read)
2 x Cup mount 3508 27

Is that everything? Anything else I should have that might make job easier? I will be paying someone to do this as is a bit beyond my competence.

Also, I will be changing my front struts in a couple of months time. There is a bit of surface rust up in the strut towers which I would like to deal with while they are out. Is there anyone near Bristol with spring compressors who could remove my struts and put the new ones in a week or so later after I've cleaned up the rust?

I would seriously recommend having a good look under the car of an afternoon when you have an hour to look into doing this job. Not complicated and a good sense of achievement to do yourself. Although sometimes handing over the keys and a debit card is much easier again.

Just perhaps have a nosey and you will be surprised how little there is to it.

+1 on the DIY attempt, but I would reccommend taking some measurements from the subframes position first, as the mounting holes come with big clearances to make alignment easy. If you just wang it on then chances are it will be a bit on the p**s.
