XUD7 is Iron, pretty much same casting as the XUD9, which in turn is very close to the XU10.

I thought it was, I had a 205 D turbo with that engine as a first car but that was way too long ago to remember now

Oops missed the bit where it was a t16 to start with.
Although if you were up for the hassle you could get a s**t gti for about 700, strip it.
Get the body kit made for about 2k
Get a t16 engine for 4500
Rebuild it for about 5k
Re fit interior job done?

Leaving 12.5k for other stuff.

You do realise they are mid engined?

Also cant see you getting/finding a T16 lump for £4500, you'll find it impossible to get one at all.

Yeah but Carl chambers has made a rwd 205 on a budget Smile

There's a 306 t16 on here for 7k or so. You could sell the rest.
There's also a engine on here for 5k in the parts bit.

Didn't realise it was the wrong 1 though I do admit.

Yeah that's the problem, they are totally different engines.

The fabrication that would go into mounting it properly the same as Peugeot did would not be very economical against the cost of buying one I doubt, plus it wouldn't have anywhere near the value an original one does.

I have seen the one Carl has done but also these 205's are 4wd.

Carl hasn't done a rwd 205, its the guy's in the unit next door Wink

the engine in the 306 "T16" is very different to a 205 T16 engine, technically its name is "turbo 16"

I like it but i'd buy a genuine 306 maxi for that money I reckon. Sure I saw one go for less than 80k for an ex works car?
