Well, it's not listed on servicebox for cars without the stalk, because all UK models were supplied with the stalk. The only possibility for them existing without the hole is on cars that were supplied with no radio at all, and therefore no stalk. ________________________________________ Rich |

Have to get a piece of cowling and bond it on from the inside I think to blank it off ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

To be fair, a bonded bit of couling on the outside won't look any better than the 'grommet' left behind with no stalk through it. Or are you missing the 'grommet'?________________________________________ |

I was thinking of doing the same after getting a stalk adaptor that didn't work properly. Having had the car for over a year and surviving without a working stalk I was thinking of applying the "delete option" as comprehensively used elsewhere on the Rallye! At the moment I've got no stalk, just a hole in the cowling. The same process used to patch up mobile phone mount holes etc in dashes could be used, where they patch the hole, then replicate the grain by moulding it from an adjacent place and using the imprint to press the grain into the filler in the hole, then spray over the top. How much would it cost to get done professionally? ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |

My idea. Remove stalk, crudely fill the hole with somthing from behind. Cover in suede/alcantara etc.________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |
