....don't all flame me at once!

It's now officially on the road and working, in a fashion, it managed about 10 miles before 3rd gear spat it's dummy out! Only at 1.6 bar too. Whoops, so i now own a 4 speed cossie, which is interesting.

First time i have driven it today since it's overhaul, i love it, it's so smooth to drive, behaves wonderfully, then s**t hits the fan when you give it a bit of right foot!

It's had a new engine in it, and it was a "rebuilt" gearbox, that cost £650, ebay at its best, eh?

I always preferred the saphh, even when i was a kid, i think i liked it's more subtle styling.
I do love an rs500 though.

Oh dear. Ouch!

It would not be too bad if it was a s**tty 6 box for £90, £650 is hard to swallow.

Any Cosworth or classic ford parts aint cheap i suppose.

Selling off some Escort RS turbo bits at the mo and i am surprised what there worth.

Hope you get it sorted......

The box was s**te when i had it, tbh, as said, was sold as rebuilt, but clearly wasn't, or it it was, it was done by a 4 year old, 3rd gear sounded straight cut anyway!
Not really to be honest matey, don't know many ford owners! ha

Issue with standard wheels is big brakes won't fit under them!

Cheer Matt Smile

I've spent too much on it to swap it at the moment! lol

Never been in or seen Dans, but have been in loads and driven lots of Cossies in my time running my local RSOC group. One guy has a Silver Escos (DC is his name) he lives for trackdays and is always at one or another. Running about 530bhp its a very brutal experience, the way it gains speed above 100mph is comical, and by god Dave can drive.

He's now racing in the LMA saloon championship, despite a massive fire at brands last year. Cossies are awesome fun, they all sound the same as well, even smell the same ive found!

Even a nice 330bhp 2wd sierra is still a quick car in the right hands, due to them being fairly light compared to modern cars.

At stage 3(ish), this went well, you didn;t come across many things that would leave you by much.
Now its just ridiculous, can't wait until its running properly.
