Brand new set of Carbone Lorraine RC6 front pads in 4026 fitment (Clio RS 172 / 182). These do fit the GTi-6 calipers perfectly according to various threads in the brake section. Reason for selling is I am looking to upgrade to a lighter 4 pot setup. Looking for £130 delivered ________________________________________ 306 2.1 S16 Tarmac Rally CarProject thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=143956 |

Are these too hard core for fast road use? Will they eat standard Brembo discs? Cheers Dai ________________________________________ Xbox Live: DaicarvideoGuy, Forza 4 |

No fine for fast road, but do kill discs and leave metal dust/shavings everywhere. Keep your wheels clean.________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

jeffers wrote: Just be aware they don't work great from cold...... Sorry if this kills a potential sale but you should know! Sorry Jeffers,......but I have to disagree! I've run RC6's on the road for several years now & as a daily driver at one point, through the winter & snow. The co-efficiently of these pads is higher then most race pads, which gives them their superior stopping power. Being made up of sintered metal, they don't need bringing up to temp in order to work, unlike organic compounds. This was just one of the reasons I decided to try them in the first place & have never looked back since From the moment I have pulled away from home in icey or cold conditions, these pads have always worked the same, as if it were a summers day. The initial bite of these pads are just bonkers, I've never experienced anything quite like it Anyway, sorry to hi-jack the thread, moral of the story, if you want a pad that is a cut above the rest.......then buy these! (IMO) GLWTS Jorg |

(IMO) GLWTS Jorg I'm not about to start an argument about this but I'm merely an opinion based on experience, as you are. They are excellent pads a grant you but when cold and on a day to day basis they are not really suited to normal driving. When cold they are crap, FACT! I state this again as I really don't think they are suitable for just normal road driving, hence on the box thru very clearly state not for road use, because they don't work well when cold. Jorg, if these are still available In a couple of weeks I'll probs take them. ________________________________________ Team Running Engine again!Team Negative Camber! No argument intended Jeffers, just posting my experience's the same as you In fairness no "Race Pad" is intended for "Road Use" and I have never run these pads on a standard GTI-6 brake setup, I have an Ash 330mm RS kit that I run these on & Previously the 310mm RS kit, to which I have never experienced any cold pad issues, through the winters that I have run them on. maybe the brake force between the standard vs Brembo & pad sizes have an effect, having not run these on a standard setup, during a cold winters day, I couldn't compare the two. Obviously you have had experience of that & found them to be lacking. Two different setup's & two different opinions, we can only post on our individual findings Whether this helps Jorg with his sale or not........who knows Anyway, back to the OP GLWTS Jorg |

As you say the 2 different setups is probably a lot to do with the differing opinions! Anyway jorg as stated above if they're still here in a pair of weeks il probs take em! ________________________________________ Team Running Engine again!Team Negative Camber!
