???? You sure the regulator doesn't just regulate the pressure that the pump produces and let any excess fuel pressure back to the tank??the regulator can't produce pressure, but the Pump can, maybe I'm wrong but I really don't get your answer ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Yeah they will be mint now for the new buyer, I was thinking of changing all my swirl pot piping for the braided stuff using them fixings but wasn't sure if they would take 7bar of pressure or not________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Swampy's lines.....Personally the rubber fuel hose does me fine, and I have a 5 bar pressure regulator. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

I always thought a pump produced pressure. A regulator may increase it but it's the pump that makes the pressure. |

The pump will still make pressure it just might not get to the rail, or do you mean remove the reg, then there wont be any pressure as it will be spraying fuel put all over. the regulator does what it says it regulates the pressure, the fuel pump pumps the pressure up. ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Think he means take off the pipe from manifold to regulator. Which takes vacuum pressure from manifold to give pressure to the regulator If that makes sense ________________________________________ Chris1999 China Gti6 Supercharged [Fun car] >>Project Thread<< 2000 Bianca 306 Diesel [Work runabout] |

But surely the pump will still be producing pressure up to the regulator, the regulators not going to stop the fuel pump pressurising the lines up to the fuel rail before the reg________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

pump creates flow the reg makes the pressure, thats why you get different regs for different applications.________________________________________ |

So is this right: The regulator creates a block to stop the fuel going straight through the rail and back down the return pipe to the tank, when the pressure builds up to whatever spec the regulator is it then opens up enough to let any extra pressure and fuel down the return pipe but keeping the pressure up to the set level in the rail and fuel feed line??? ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |
