I'm particuarly pleased with myself about this one ...

Any time you start a new thread, click the 'Add Reply' button or write a PM, you'll see a little line of icons across the top of the reply box. These icons will take care of all your jazzy forum code formatting for you.

  • If you highlight the text you would like formatted (eg bold, italic, underline, strikethrough) and click one of these buttons, the text will become formatted.

  • If you highlight some text and click the 'link' button, a link will be created with the text you highlighted. If you haven't highlighted any text, the link will be created with the URL as the link text.

  • If you click a smiley, it will now be inserted at the current cursor position instead of at the end of the text box.

  • I haven't tested it in every version of every browser, so let me know if you have any problems.

    Enjoy Thumbs up

    Is the image icon WIP?

    [img=http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/images/large/75001_75500/75469_028b0447.jpg?w=1]

    Me linking by writing [img]

    Getting there, however is there no easier way for the B I U S not being reliant on highlighting or typing between the code?

    Also I get a "This website is using a scripted window to ask you for information" line in s**t browser when doing image, guess that may be as WIP or a setting in IE prehistoric version on my laptop.

    If you're having any problems, try hitting Ctrl-F5 to make sure your browser's picking up the changes. If it's still not working, could you let me know what browser you're using, eg Firefox 6 or IE8 and I'll see what I can do.

    Erm? Is that what my post said? Also I can't remember how to manipulate the forum code to exact posts on pages since it's changed. Can you assist? Used to be =#69 etc or such like.

    Image code all fixed Thumbs up

    The 'jump to' link is not so straightforward. It's the page URL, plus #id where id is the post id. To get the post id, mouseover the 'quote' link and you'll see a number like 2001444

    So the link is http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=146511#2001444
