Peugeot founded in 1810 as a coffee mill company, 1830 as a bicycle manufacturer, 1882 as a car manufacturer, 1898 as a motorcycle company, 1926 as a separate company

Peugeot are 200 years old, citroen was started back in 1919.

Peugeot are one of the first ever car manufacturers if I remember correctly. I think Benz was the first??

first multivalve engine circa 1915??
first metal folding roof, 402 bl eclipse 1933?? f off merc....
first fap filter, 607 hdi 2000.

plenty more but i cant remember.

daimler and peugeot worked together on the very first piston powered cars before going there seperate ways, so i suppose you could say pug and merc had the first cars!Smile
