Took the 6 out for the first time this weekend as been of the roadcar has been fully serviced etc when we went out Monday the light was on for fuel and i think border line empty to put 30 quid in which worked about 22 litres and got 80 miles for this light came on today, is this good/bad also how much does it cost to fill a 6 now from empty im guessing around the £80 mark ________________________________________ Snap off,because it's french |

That doesnt sound too good to be honest.I'd of thought you should see more like 120-150 miles from it dependant on driving.In regards to filling it up id say around 75-80 sounds right |

Sounds a bit low to me too.I suggest you brim it and see what you get before looking into it further. |

I'm getting 400 miles to a tank, sometimes more in mine at the moment.That is 90% motorway though. With the obligatory thrashing on slip roads etc You should try and do some motorway runs yourself, will get the engine running clearer ________________________________________ ''Oh, it does handle like a golf!'' Why drive a Golf....when you can drive a GTi-6? |

Bear in mind that you have around 30 miles of fuel once the light comes on so if it was on vapours when you put £30 in and you have done 80 miles you may still have the best part of 30 miles left of that £30.As Adam says you need to fill her up and keep note of the litres you put in and the mileage covered to get an accurate picture. |

i get about 400miles a tank. When red light comes on I've got about 50miles and still going but i don't do that unless i have to. . . That doesnt sound great you must have a heavy foot.I get 100- 110 miles to £20, and thats mixed motoway and bobbing about. Thats fuel at around £132.9 |

My fuel consumption is terrible, I think it's because the car doesn't get a chance to heat up though as I am 7 minutes to work and 7 minutes back... lol. I think 6's like longer journeys and are actually not bad on a longer run, on the way down from Aberdeen to Kirkcaldy, I think I only used just over a quarter of a tank and that was stopping and starting a lot in Dundee.
