I've thought about it before, but have always wanted to hear Ash's opinions first. Guess what, still waiting.

Written properly, and with someone passionate in charge (Hello Stan) it could be awesome, but it needs to happen asap or everyone will leave and it'll be too late as they'll no longer be in contact. I've thought about it before, but have always wanted to hear Ash's opinions first. Guess what, still waiting. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

dangti6 wrote: Stan, I wouldn't go so firm on it with as many 'it would' 'you can' 'they will' etc. Ash may not appreciate having 90% of the active members now expecting that to be the way with a price structure if that format gets banded around in each of these threads. Have you been in talks with him? I read somewhere about you becoming an Admin, although that again could have been someones suggestion. If he doesn't want you to be admin, we are all going to be writing this in another thread, for the 8th time, next month. I realise you say all your points are only ideas, but can come across to people as expectations. If Ash wanted it to be like we all keep writing about, he would take it on board and make the changes, but he hasn't, and might actually not if truth be told. We need to be realistic in the fact that any of this may never happen. As I have mentioned before, Ash selling up would sort the issue if we are honest. If Admins are going to take over the writing of code, making changes and pricing etc, will Ash have much of an interst in it? He hasn't had for the last 6 months. I just think we shouldn't forget that unfortunately this site may have lost what it was, and in current owneship may never return to that. Dan - I fully appreciate your points here. I haven't spoken to Ash about any of this, like I say they are just my ideas off the top of my head to try and sort this out. What I am trying to achieve is finding out what the majority who frequent here would want. After all, if we don't address that issue then people will still be moaning and nothing will change for the better. If we as members can debate it and come to an agreement about how we would all like the site to run then perhaps the suggestions could be put to Ash as ideas that the vast majority have agreed on. Ash is the only guy who can DO anything about it. I am simply trying to take the hard work off him and finding out what exactly is the way forward before we ask the question - 'Can it be done?' Clearly, the site isn't as the vast majority of users would like it, therefore are criticising. Fair enough, but I am just trying to help out and make people use constructive criticism by coming up with solutions to get the site back on the right path. ________________________________________ "Supercharged - 454.1bhp/317.5lb/ft"Peugeot 306 GTi-6 2000 (X), Moonstone |

That's all fair, and yours efforts truly are appreciated. However if you do manage to track Ash down, unless he's about to change something major in his life and live for the 306 again the only option really is for him to give the site to someone else. I don't mean that in a spiteful way, it's just the truth. ________________________________________ Membership expiring soon, get in contact on our new little forum project. |

ash has been on posting in the admin section so i wonder what is being discussed?i say admin section - what i mean is it says he's posted but none are visible so i am guessing there's an admin subforum where all this is being discussed seriously though if your heart isn't in something then you move on rather than leave everyone in the lurch ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |
