"The other thing with a diesel you dont get the sound as you do with a gti6 when your giving it some"

Lol on one of my track days some one said “I wish that guy would open that 306 up he keeps short shifting.” “My mate pointed out it’s a diesel and he is pushing it to the 4000 max power limit. Does the slight smoke from the exhaust not give it away?”

engine is in, short shift is on. Just 1 spring to fit, 1 drive shaft and the manifold to bolt up and I. Can fire her up. Fingers crossed this isa good engine. Came out of a rallye so came with the non aircon aux kit so al aircon pipes and radiator have been removed Big grin
Got a spare manifold and engine covers I will be cleaning up and painting before I get my PTFE gasket fitted. Need longer bolts aswell so I can fit the strut brace. Other than that things are going well Smile

I have the engine fitted and loom out of a rallye into my gti6 but left my ecu in out of my gti6. just trying to start my car and the fuel pump wont prime but everything else works. The fuel cut off button wont stay down either. Any ide what it could be? will i have to put the wiring loom off my gti6 on or should it be ok with the rallye loom?

Cant seem to get my button on the key to work either or the immobiliser button on the steering column. Anyone have any idea what my problem could be?

Thanks chris i will have to come up and try them both see what looks best, i like the speedlines like Big grin

Well got round to doing a few more things to the 6 over the past few days. Started cleaning up the engine bay, fitted PTFE inlet gasket and ported my throttle body abit. Still waiting on my boss kit to come so i can fit my OMP steering wheel aswell. Just been on the look out for a nice set of bucket seats but not sure what to get? Also waiting on Chrisd306 getting back from off shore so i can go collect my new wheels off him and need to sort something out with cjm_harris on picking up or him posting out the half cage he has them i can make a start of stripping out the 6 and get it ready for York raceway in april Big grin
