Shame because this is my first post and its a shame because of the content.

My lovely Nile Blue 6 (I have had the car 4 months) got hit by a white van man thursday night on a roundabout.

He was in the right hand lane, I was in the lefth and lane and he turned left and hit me, guy jumped out and said ' I suppose you are going to say it was my fault' derr yeah!!??

One dented drivers side rear quarter (above the arch through the crease line), couple of scratches, lost trim and a ruined alloy, it was a refurb alloy and his tyre has rubbed the outer layer off by the looks of it.

Spoke to Admiral my insurer (3rd PF&T with £100,000 legal fees included) and they are pursuing, they said it sounds like a winner but worst case due to roundabout accidents I might get a 50/50, but I would only settle for that if last resort.

On a plus side wifey has said whatever it takes I can get it mended :-)

Just wanted to share this as I am sure you can feel for me

Thanks in advance

As much as we feel for you insurance will probably deem it a write off as the Dominos vouchers I get through the door are worth more than a 6 Sad really.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

Nope, should of punched the f*cking twat of a van driver for your own pleasure and whacked the dent out with a hammer and use it for a track car.

Appreciate the feedback

I did feel like punching the twat but I didn't thankfully as I might not have stopped

Hopefully I can buy it back and get it fixed, hasn't affected the cars performance....hehe

As above, they will be bale to get most of that out and filler the rest. Not ideal but as long as it drives straight and true!

If it needed anything more than bump strip replacing it would be a write off.

Unlucky man, as said that'll definitely be a write off. Buy it back from the insurance and you've got an excuse for a track car Smile

Ok not heard from insurance company yet and I do agree with you guys that it will be written off

So I got a quote from a guy £450 less the wheel and trim

    Wifey says yes :-)

I will wait until I have heard from the IC before booking it in

Its worth it I think as the interior is good, engines good, gearbox ok (bit clunky when cold) and its a lovely drive

Well If you think it is worth it then that is all that matters. I personally think £450 is reasonable, so get it done!

Hope it all gets sorted without too much fuss. Thumbs up

    Update

I waited for Admirals legal guys (Albany assistance) as I was 3rd Party F&T only and its still ongoing

I finally got the 3rd parties insurance company AXA BTW to value it at £1000 minus £100 salvage and it will be a CAT C write off

The 3rd Party had a broker who has admitted liability but AXA have yet to comment

Fingers crossed and then I will decide if I will repair it, TBH it polished out ok

I have got a new job with a car so I might try to sell it for £500 as is.
