I just can't decide what to get...I'm not bothered if it's petrol or diesel as long as it's no worse than 30-35mpg but I need space for the little one. I don't want any small hot hatches or chavvy type cars either and nothing built in the last century either. I'm planning on doing a few long distance drives this year so a bit of a cruiser would be nice and so far in the list is a BMW 325ci......any more ideas?

I bought one earlier this year, mainly for the missus to use. Nice car, and returns over 50 mpg on a run!

Awful motors, aerodynamics of a brick and have spot welds showing on the exterior. Never buy a motor named after a dog Thumbs up

f*ck me you sound like my missus, I keep trying to tell her we're selling the Disco3 and getting a 110 instead but she says "I'm not driving to Austria to go skiing in a f*cking defender" Dunno

Peugeot/Pug? Thumbs up

Spotwelds are there because they look awesome, and who gives a f*ck about aerodynamics when every other bellend out there is stuck in 5mm of snow and you're rinsing through it? Yes

If you're looking at the 325ci why not just go full hog and get a 330ci, not that much difference in fuel consumption and you get a nice hike in power/torque. Been running one since July and it's a dream if you want to cruise. Comfortable, quick, find the right one and you'll have alll the toys too. Mines a pre facelift 2003 msport and has every option including xenons, electric/heated seats, full screen tv/sat nav. Picked it up for £6k but these have dropped in value so £5k should get you something decent.

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

I don't think a 90's twin turbo car is what I'm after but thanks. I already have an Audi in that shape and their actually really good cars but look a bit dated now. Besides the BMW is a better car from personal experience.

Lovely car, missus says it has to be Titanium though Roll eyes I've noticed the 4dr saloons are good value and would probably be better with the little one. I remember my old Ci was a pain to get in the back because of the electric seats.
