Hi Guys

I've owned a 306 years ago and find myself itching to get back into one again, as a means of having something cheap and fun for the occasional trackday, sprint and hoon on the roads. I have driven 6's a few times and want to decat the car, fit an exhaust and induction, strip the thing fitting some Corbeau's I have in a shed and do some other offs and sods, so this one above already has some of the work done.

Is this car/owner on here? I tried a search but found nothing. I'm just keen to establish whether the clutch has been done and whether there is anything else I need to think about before arranging what could potentially be a bloody long drive.

Nice forum you have here. I hope to join your ranks very soon Thumbs up

It was on 104k in June 2008 and didn't have silly stickers on it.

"Im reluctant to sell this car, just fancy a change, need something a little smaller and cheaper to insure."

Didn't this one have the head on with the milk float? If it is then they've done a great job rebuilding it!
But I always thought cat B write offs weren't meant to go back on the road

The best engine in the world is the vagina, it takes any size piston, its self lubricating, starts with 1 finger, and every 4 weeks does its own oil change. It's just a pity the management system is so fecking temperamental.

Sounds like it's had an interesting life!
Is it one to avoid or does anyone have a link to it's history? I tried a search under the username given above, but it showed nothing.

I basically want something that is mechanically sound and if it has a few mods, all the better. Whatever I buy will be prepared for circuit use anyway, so I am not that worried about bodywork condition as long as there is no significant rust. I'm happy to take your advice and any links to suitable cars would be appreciated.

( I especially like the caged one for £1250 in the classifieds here)

Nah he didnt crash that one, but me and him used to blaze up in there all the time and once one of the seats caught fire, but we managed to put it out pretty quickly. Actually once we were both so wasted that when we were driving a long we couldnt stop laughing and he mounted a curb and drove it into a bush. Pretty sure there was no damage though.

Oh yeah, and also I demanded to be driven about in the boot once to see what it was like being a prisoner, and I ended up puking everywhere and it was so cramped I was rolling about in all the puke. He was bombing it over speed humps on purpose.

Just searched (Man, I am sad!) through a fair few of those two guys threads and I couldn't see anything with that same plate.............any ideas?

Thugpuggin- you said you knew about the mileage back in 08; do you have anything else to add to this Smile

Thanks in advance.....Sunday evenings are lethal for me because I always end up bored and making rash decisions! I have the itch for a track car, had decided that a 6 would be an ideal base and now my mind has gone into overdrive!

What has happened to the number plate? It looks daft.

On a more helpful note it will need a cam belt pretty soon as last done 31K miles and at least 4 years ago. As a bargaining point that is £250 you will need to spend as soon as you drive it away.

Man, if the guy can't be bothered to wash a bit of bird shit off a car before it goes up for sale then IMHO you are buying off a person who don't give a f*ck about a lot of things.....
