That could be fun, a guy i know is currently putting a 4.2l rover V8 in an old manta gte. It runs but doesnt have the supercharger he has fitted yet. Sounds awesome through the custom exhaust with just 2 cherry bombs as backboxs. I would love to have that 306 to play about with. Smile

Not much wrong with the rover v8 Carl, it was used in enough things and based on an old Buick lump. Pretty rock solid providing it's not been chavved with.

I only seen them I suppose when the liners slipped or the head gasket failed or the rockers worn out etc etc.

Not my cuppa tea. A nice Peugeot gti6 lump (when the belt hasn't fell off or it's not a tapper etc LOL)

Looks a mess. Right idea on a budget, but would need some work to sort it out.

I'd like to know what he's done to the gearbox too as it rotates the other way, unless he likes lots of reverse gears.

Not sure it's wrong. isn't that the same setup as rear engine kit cars run (gt40s etc) .

Yeah, I've just realised he's flipped it, I was thinking of the UN5 rather than the UN1.
