Reason for that price as that is what cost me to do my car after diff fuel system etc, forged engine is not cheap, neither is the supercharger and everything else needed. Really doubt there would have been much change from that amount, plus whats labour nowdays around £45 + VAT per hour. ________________________________________ TEAM Supercharged Rallye |

Infact I payed in 3 installments, one for the main parts and machining, then not long after one for the charger then finally on collecting one for labour plus other bits and bobs. I've not even thought about totalling it all up as I know I spent way more than originally planned due to extra bits and bobs, I thought f*ck it we only live once let's live it a bit and if I've gone to so much extreme anyway it may aswell have a few finishing touches on it!the black oil coolers in place of the fogs blend in awsome with the lower grille, I'm so glad I didn't go for silver like I originally said, rich talked me into black! ________________________________________ andrew315rawson@live.co.ukMoonstone phase 7 gti6 My Project thread: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=119992&page=1 |

Thats bloody brilliant value for money, i have mates splashing that kind of cash on Corsa's etc. One of which has blown its head gasket after 10k from new! He still owes about 5k on the thing! What makes this conversion different? I understand it has a standalone ECU with the throttle body on the Manifold this time instead, what other differences? Because as mentioned above, id rather be paying sub 10k for that then a Focus RS for instance! ________________________________________ owain wrote: A GTI-6 with a good dashboard and the seats down can outsprint an E46 M3 in July. |

The ~10k quoted, is that because Andy already had the inlet and fitting kit, or would that be the price for a super super charger conversion for someone that had a standard 6? ________________________________________ |

No, most of Andy's original fitting kit wasn't used - the only parts from the original kit used was the PAS relocation items and the air-scoop IIRC. So there's a bit of money saved where he already had these items, but not a huge amount ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |
