Has anyone seen this before, done it?? I'm guessing it is to keep the clutch vented?

Sorry for posting in here, for some reason I couldn't post in the technical section. Just bought an S16 for some track time and noticed a 'hole' in the bell housing. It looks like it a) is meant to be there or been cut out. There are two more on the bell housing opposite the starter.Has anyone seen this before, done it?? I'm guessing it is to keep the clutch vented? |

It's more or less harmless, but if you go off road or dump it in a gravel trap you might want to have it bunged up. ________________________________________ Ph1 306 GTi 6 | RX8 231 S1 | YBR 125 Cafe Racer | MT-03 660 |

I had one on a 6 box, but it had been drilled, I think it was to aid with putting the box back on________________________________________ Cherry rallye - DOB Thursday 29/04/1999Team Rallye - the leaner, meaner, better looking sister of the GTI6 roland rat wrote: You sir either live for the 6 or have a mental retardation to still be repairing this!
