Our existing Admin team have been with us for many years and have been an immense help to my workload, and to the general smooth running of the Club. Sadly, and as can only be expected, they've moved on to other things ... families, houses, other cars, different priorites etc ... which means we have a requirement for new Website Admin.

Traditionally, the Admin have been personal friends of mine who I've known for a long time and trust implicitly. However, as my own priorites have changed over the years, I've gradually lost contact with club members and no longer know the active members.

What I'd like is a few reliable, honest people who can donate a little time to helping the club run smoothly. Far from an exciting task, typical jobs are moving & locking threads, deleting posts, locking accounts, resetting passwords, banning users etc.

In return, you'll receive thanks from me ... and a constant stream of abuse from everyone else.

Please let me know if you're interested, or if you'd like to nominate anyone ...

I could/would do it. I'm on here most of the day, have prior mod experience and have changed an indicator stalk on a 6 once. (more technical than an air filter for sure).

But you PM'd me threatening to ban me and I put a thread up in General telling you to f*ck off. So for that reason, I declare myself out. Doh

said before, i wouldnt mind doing a bit of tidying up here and there...
But then its your choice of who, as your in charge.

Theres a few I would suggest but unfortunately I think they are mostly people who dont really have time to do it Sad

I did indeed. And for that, you get my vote too.

I say make *everyone* an admin. That way no admin can go power mad and start blocking everyone, because everyone would do it back to them. The only way to make a true democracy is to give everyone the same level of power.

LET'S DO THIS.

I have no more interest in becoming an admin than anyone would have in wanting me to be one, but I'm happy to create an automated shoe-o-meter if it'd help.

anyone who uses the C word should not be allowed to be admin for a starter and bashes newbies unfairly

1) I would say anyone who's afraid to use the c-word should not even be considered
2) There's an unfair way of bashing newbies? Dunno

I would do it also, don't have a 6 any more, but I've arranged numerous northern events over the years, so some people should know my face. I'm in front of a computer all day long so I guess that helps...

No point stealing a 50"plasma when you can't afford to put money in the meter to power it!

Can always just cut into some of those live electrical cables people try to steal every now and again.
