I use Imperial Leather foaming shower gel for the same reason, if it's good enough for my balls it's good enough for my car.

I find the 3m stuff is simply consistant tbh. Used Menzerna but didnt get on with it at all. Very temperature specific.

The 3m pads are very long lasting as well i find.

Where do you work Andy?

I work for a BMW dealership. Most of them have in-house smart repair centres, these days, but the size of the jobs we are doing seem to be getting bigger and bigger. They're looking at expanding, next year, and putting a full size, bodyshop oven in.

And for the records, people, I don't clean my car. If it's good for my arsehole...

Das 6 Pro for a DA... Meguiars one is a tad expensive and is pretty much very decent rotary money.

Gonna give the Bilt Hamber medium clay a go - looks good and use water as lube - 3-4 cars on one bar seems good value, £13 delivered as well.

Just a heads up, all clay can be used with water. I've used megs, bilt, autobrite stuff for years with water and had no problem.
