It was one of the new ones, but I think he's picking up the Volkswagen tomorrow. Our neighbour has a brand new Mazda 6 in white. It's a diesel sport thing and looks gorgeous with the big wheels and all that. Seem good value for money and it's something I might consider myself next year.

I have a 1.9TDI N Reg 110, shat an alternator belt off and the turbo's more off than on at the moment as the mechanic reckons he's disturbed a pipe when doing the belt...which will get looked at on Monday but

They're ace cars! Just got 400 miles to 1/2 a tank (£80) avoid 150's as i think they've proved to be problematic due to the owners booting it everywhere.

I'm looking at a 130 next with a remap it should be 155.

I think with the later ones, the ASZ engines which are better

Sweet Jesus, half a tank is £80? So £160 to brim it? Meaning a tank size of about 225 litres at today's prices! Surely your fuel guage is broken? Either that or it's an endurance A4. LOL

They've got 70 litre tanks IIRC So £80 worth would dam near fill it. For information ours seems to do low 50mpg if you drive it at the speed limits or 47-49 if you're driving at 80-90 on a motorway. I've no complaints TBH. Fixed priced servicing at local VW dealers too comes in at just over £100 too . depending on which service you have of course.

So is the B5 1.9 engine the same as the B6? I'm thinking of getting a slightly older A4 (2004).
