went to sweetlamb stages today parked the 6 up miles from the stage and climbed a mountain to watch two stages in sunshine (in Wales!!!!!) came back to the car to find a photo op I couldnt miss but only had a crap camera phone.

then got burnt off by a megane R26 once we had gotten out of the twisties from newtown to shrewsbury once the A5 turned to dual carriageway.

PS china is for sale in the classifieds as well as the oz superleggeras!!!

I was there. Yes

Like you say, couldn't have asked for better weather, especially after getting absolutely soaked last year.

Didn't see your '6, but spotted a V Reg Manstone in the car park.

Was a good day out though, a lot busier than last year too.

got to say as a rally fan of err errr errr nearly 40 years this years wrc was crap to watch but made a little better by the national rally that ran on the frioday and sat only. If I had of paid 25squid to see the world fiesta challenge I wouldnt of been happy. but had a great day dreaming of mcrae burns sainz makkinen erikkson liatti galli delecours etc. (old git)
still looked great at great orme!!!!

Mike, seems you were pretty much sat next to me taking those! I live on the Orme and took advantage of the free resident passes we were given. It was really bizarre seeing so many people scattered over the cliffs! I'm used to having the road to myself. Big grin

nice to see they are using some of wales iconic roads at last and not running round private estates as in the past on rally gb. have to be the only country in the wrc calender that refuse to shut a road down to race a car on the world stage, and have old bill in between every road section nicking drivers of wrc cars. w*nkers

what an anti climax this year was on the wrc, mini out on stage 1 hirvonen out stage 3

there is a clue at the top of the post llandudno, and by the sea!

They've not done much this year tbh bar the memorial event, they seem to be getting bored of it tbh - Nesscliffe in May next year if you want to see them out again.

Although, last time they were at that spot in Sweetlamb, I seem to remember someone wiping the gate out on the right by hut, and she almost took the bridge out too LOL

Put some cash together, grab some mates, go over on the tunnel on Friday, roadtrip down to the event, grab a road/stagemap from the cafe right in the middle of the town by the mini-roundabout, ready for scrutineering on the friday night, come back Monday after a p*ssup with all the drivers and crew through the town on Sunday night in celebration.

    Honestly, you won't regret it.
