Now that this is a pay site its all the more frustrating to see all these bullsh*t threads.

Theres currently 10 in the general forum, I thought part of the transition to paid membership was to stop this?
As it stands like a few have said already, there appears to be very little benefit of being a paid member.

Can we get some moderators please?

Say some well respected users from the club given basic rights to be able to lock and delete spam threads and ban these people who seem to have nothing better to do than spam here and on pug306.net (I see they've had a recent return of "peter file" )

+1 this is rather frustrating.

I don't think unpaid members should be able to post in the general forum, as they just ask their technical questions there, or get trolls cluttering up the place

Getting pretty sick of all these trolls now, I can understand its normally in the small hours that they come on but its certainly getting in the way of 'normal' threads.

Ditto, we should check who's willing to be a mod, and vote accordingly...

this has come up loads in the past

practically everyone put their name forward for just shifting threads / deleting them. not even power really, jsut the ability to put something in the right section or delete it completely would do fine. weven the wrong section stuff isn't happening as much

I can see many would put their names forward, I'd happily do it to avoid rubbish threads...

Maybe create a "junk" section and give some moderators power to move posts to there and hand out temporary bans/sinbins for 24hours to be reviewed by admin when they have some free time.

No point in moaning. you just get a roll eyes smiley and told to use the report function.

So many simple things wrong with this forum that now we have to pay just shouldn't be happening

agree with the "f*ck off" but it could of been put better...

There should be a Sticky in general headed "new members please read" and explain that any technical questions they need to join as a paid member, either that or a notice that pops up when they join.

If there were a few moderators with the above mentioned abilities then threads could be locked with a brief reply from the mod refering to the "rules" and requesting they get paid membership to ask technical questions. Then moved to the "junk" section or deleted
Obviously a degree of sense should be used for if its a long term member who contributes in other ways.

Someone put a thread up saying "no technical questions in General" but it was not stickied and was locked so it fell off the first page in about 10 minutes.

MCH sure I could be a little less blunt, but that's me I'm afraid. I'm a nice lad really. Erm?

nah we all know you by now jim, I just thought I'd add that I wasnt meaning exactly the same as you but agreed kinda LOL

Its just annoying that we get trolls spamming soo much when other forums I frequent (car/photoshop/p2p forums) get barely any at all...

I have mellowed a touch. But then, so has the forum. It's not the place it was, a place of fun and happiness, and horrific levels of abuse.
