Dennis has tender progressive springs on his latest setup, which is why it feels so good, softer for road use on the tender spring then when that's fully compressed the main spring is 450lb which is when it stiffens up. Check his project thread out.

Oh and to throw another setup into the hat, I'm running loteks old spax coilies with 325lb springs solid top mounts on the front and about 1.5 degrees camber, solid rear beam mounts 21mm tb's and 30mm arb and neg camber rear arms. I thought the fifteenth hand coilies were going to be a bad idea but now I've tweaked with damper settings a little the setup works really well I'm sure when I get the money together for some better coilies it will work better again but if u want confirmation how well this set up works speak to Ed (redrallye) who experienced it first hand last Friday!Thumbs up

hmmm my old avo dampers were like that, but I didn't mind as my car only sees the road driving to and from trackdays.... Is it gonna be used for mainly road or track use??

Probably the rear shocks hovis, but it could be over or under damped. Start from the lowest damping settings and work up. Could be they are over heating and damping is falling off over time.

Not that simple on the road though. Tracks are generally a lot smoother.

I'd agree with Adam, the rear damping is as important as the front, if not more.

More so due to the angle and short travel.

They look like torsion bars......only smaller Razz

Hovis, as people have pointed out the dampers won't be helping your ride. I went from avo's to gaz golds and the difference on the road was incredible even though I'd doubled the spring rates.
The avo's used to bounce round no matter where you set them.

I agree, I have avo coilovers and dampers and there bounce around a hell of a lot. Next on the list is a new set with a beam rebuild. FML

Not a new set, just get some half decent ones instead. Have to say the Black Art Design ones looked good value. My AST love is back after having the rear dampers re-valves today. Fook me its a different car!!
