Bought a set of genuine Peugeot exhaust fixing bolts and fire ring.

Which size bolt is used out of the 3? Dunno

I'm sure when I changed them a few years ago there was a thread on here about it, but I can't seem to find it.

It's one of those jobs you want to do right the first time LOL

It's a one man job if you use the right tools and do it all from underneath.

You should be able to get your arm around the ARB and hold a socket on top. The tip for removing them is to do it bit by bit both sides I found. First time I removed one side completely and the spring forced the head of the bolt in the cup and made it a nightmare to get out. Had to use a nut splitter through the whole thing.

I'l line it up with the different lengths and see what gives a good clamp first.

I fitted mine on my own by laying under the car. I checked which size bolts to use by dummy fitting the two parts together and seeing which length bolt just had a little thread sticking out of the cup. I remember it was a pain in the ass trying to get the nut on initially so I only got it on a couple of threads then did the other side before tightening them both up. Smile

It's in a 205 so can't see the end of the manifold let alone get an extension on it from above LOL

there's a service box diagram around somewhere on here which tells you exactly how to assemble it.
