17k! Jings that is low! I know of one with similar mileage owned by a chap called craig. Many of you lot may have seen it at FCS etc, it's v. low mileage and is a concours example. I think he's owned it from new though, it's a 53 plate?

I bought some replacement decals. Temporary replacements really and bought for the bonnet and to replace the "rallye" along the back quarters by the sills again. Previous owner removed them a few weeks after it was new...D'OH!!

These look alright for £15.99 delivered...we'll soon find out if they fall off in the snow. Looks like I will have to cut them properly as well to get them aligned right, which might prove to be a pain in the arse. I will be measuring the originals like a proper nob and no doubt the paint underneath the originals is spotless??? I'm fearful...

Hi mate - really interested in how you get on as I have been looking at getting the same set - how do they compare with the originals on the car? size/ colour(ones on the car have faded no doubt) etc.

My bonnet one is well and truely knackered the rest are passable - just!

looks better from this angle!

Getting some clay soon (Bilt Hamber medium) - I'm a clay virgin so a bit aprehensive! I liked the fact that the Bilt you only need water to lube up.

On both the rallyes I have had I have only found the bonnet ones faded. I bought two sets of rick-rallye and they were bob on. I was going to offer you the stickers you were missing until I read page three LOL

wilyoldave - aye i'll post up the results when done. I only really wanted to replace a couple of them but my fear is that by replacing the bonnet & putting the "rallye" on the sides will make the others look old? I will soon find out.

Bilt hamber clay is great, affordable too Smile

An S16 309?? Was it a GTi-16 or was it a left hand drive with an S16 engine in it? Not sure of where either live to be honest! lol.

Yes the 309 interior is navy blue with blue check:

Bugger Mark...never mind! It was only 16 at the end of the day and i want the bonnet one anyway as it's slightly faded and it's stone chipped here and there!

Yeah I bought some of them off ebay for my .......err van! but as you say they are not quite right. they are too small and not lined up right, I didnt care as its just a van, but if I were you I would get some of the copies Rick on here makes! yes they are more money but they are perfect and you cant tell them from the originals.

Me too hence when he told me he was selling it I never let him advertise it on 309oc and just buggered off down to Wales and bought it Smile Was in a sorry state when he bought it! I'm still determined to get a dent master on the passenger side too. There's a patch on the spoiler where the lacquer has started to bubble. It's crying out for a re-spray really. I've got lots of bits n bobs for all cars waiting to go on. I even managed to find a brand new genuine pug spoiler for the miami for £60 delivered on ebay as someone's been shutting the boot lid using the spoiler and it's cracked! GRR!

Carl - i'll compare soon enough. I just want a wee quick job done the now and will go to town on this car down the line. The 206 has sold but my next few pay cheques from work will be terrible.

I can confirm that the ebay stickers for £17 are absolutely no-where near the right size!

The metal on the end of my cat is buggered though where it meets the mid-section so I am driving about in the miami 309 just now. It's been welded once before by the looks of things and I've done it a second time and it's just popped open again because there's a lot of movement it seems.

Subtle change number 2: Clear ph3 headlights Smile

Here G: http://www.306gti6.com/forum/showthread.php?id=145890

One clip's broken but from what I read, this is a common fault and doesn't seem to affect fitting them? I'll soon find out eh! HaHa! there were some splashes of white paint on the lenses but i've removed them. There's some stone chip marks too but it's to be expected eh!

Come on folks, most of my cars are original...am I not allowed a set of front headlights?? It's not as if I am throwing the frosted things away altogether Razz It's a run about, not a certain 309 goodwood of mine Big grin

The CAT's had it's day I think strength-wise. My plan is to get some new engine mounts on there to stop the amount of movement underneath as it's blooming horrendous just now to the point where I am driving the Miami 309 to save damaging it further until I get a plan to fix it properly! No wonder it's blowing slightly again from the recent weld...i'll live and learn!
