after reading mike306's thread about his zx, i want to know who has made the best effort of wrecking a car with no serious injury.

ill start with my mazda 3 mps, not flying but possibly a little quick for the road. came around a right hander got dazzled by the sun and just drifted wide slightly caught the grass verge. it spun right round on me, crossed the road, threw a wall, hit a tree and went around 50 foot across the front of the wood glancing trees. pulled the engine out smashed 2 alloys, ripped the boot lid off and got abit bent. i came away with nothing more than an airbag burn.

On way home from work on a Friday evening, dropping the car off to have harness points welded in (so no belts fitted)and meeting the mrs at the garage for a lift home, driving along a road i'd driven every day for 12-13 years so knew it well was driving at about 70mph (in a 50mph yeah i know we've all done it though) came over a brow to see a car on my side of the road next thing i knew i had nurses waking me up in hospital on the follwing Tuesday

And how would that be a lucky escape...??!!? LOL

Here's mine, old D Turbo. Was on cheapo tyres and had a massive case of loos into a stone wall, a tree, then eventually a house. Walked away until I stumbled out into on coming traffic and got knocked down breaking my leg. Oh, and that on coming traffic, my best mate!

Just because it was a lucky escape doesn't mean she couldn't be hot... She could have had aids!

Been in 2 other crashes in mates cars over the last few years. Most recently was this one-

Heading from the other direction, tying to keep up with a mate. Took a tight right hander about 50% too quickly, fishtailed into the ditch and spun round 180 degrees (I think, it was dark and raining at the time) Hit my knee on the dashboard and ended up with a blood clot. Wasn't as painful as the zx crash though No

On a random drive in the lakes on night around october/november time 5 years ago and we decided to go over kirkstone pass. Everything was fine until we got about 3/4 the way up when it started snowing Doh Anyway on the way back down, around 15mph in 2nd when the tyres lost grip and the car pinballed its way down before wiping out part of the wall, eventually coming to rest perched on top of it. Honestly don't think it could be recreated! LOL No injuries, but opening the back door and seeing darkness below was a bit unnerving! He'd only had the car a few days aswell Roll eyes

Certainly was bizarre, had plenty of intrigued looks from people driving past the next day! And yup, it wasn't far off new. He took out a 10k loan without a moment's hesitation LOL

Haven't been over Hartside Pass yet Cappy, will have to add that one to the list. Want to have a trip over Honister pass too next year some time Thumbs up

This doesn't look that bad but it was caused by a ~2ft x 4ft metal chevron sign which sliced through the screen and just got caught on the roof by about 2inches. Stopped about 30cm away from my face.
