^ Russ, they don't
need to have any level of paid membership to do so.
There was never anything in the membership level structure when pubished to state that selling was restricted to paying members. So it is at members discretion whether they
would like to become a paid member or not.
If you want to post in the techincal sections, or obtain a larger inbox and enter competitions - pay the membership.
I don't personally have the need for these perks, so I don't pay the membership. It's entirely at the members discrection if they
want to.
With all the changes this site has been through, I quite like the fact you aren't
forced to pay.
Lots of people have become paid members because they
wanted to, and can make use of the techincal sections and other perks as required when they chose the level of membership they wanted.
Selling restrictions never came into it, so you can't look down on un-paid members when the membership levels make no mention of restrictions.
What you can do (and you are I think, the above was to make a point) is argue that they should have been in there. But I think for Ash to swap and change what is/isn't included when people have already selected and chosen a membership is a bit iffy. People may have chosen to pay for one level - and restrictions could be moved in and out of this which would be unfair. The only fair way to go about it would be to review the membership levels upon a time of renewal next year.
