hey guys quick update on the GTI, (its my mates car)

IT IS THE ONE ON WHEELER DEALERS!

Its at a landrover garage getting repaired.
repaired meaning...... the car was nicked and my mate got ran over by it (trying to stop them theives)..... found the car damaged rear quarter (spun and hit a tree)
my mate is in hospital broke his leg and 3 broken ribs and was knocked out...... im happy to say hes recovering but i dont know if he'll sell it (ill restore it as im after it)

Can't beat a white 205 GTi Big grin

It was a while ago that it appeared on the show wasn't it?

Did your friend buy it from the show, or a hand me down? It does appear to me that they don't actual ever get sold like they make out. All the revisited episodes I have watched the cars have either stayed on someones drive for years, or been driven into the ground.

    no he bought it from a woman who was on the show but she never mentioned that it was wheeler dealers.

    right now its exactly how edd done to it (apart from the bent rear quarter) ill try to get pics of the damage when he gets back from hospital

    Theres a massive thread about this car over on the 205 forum.

    If they're unable to sell a car in time on Wheeler Dealers they get one of the crew to stand in as the buyer. The girl who allegedly bought the 205 was indeed one of the crew. It was eventually sold to someone on the 205 forum and it turned out to be a complete nail. The smoke coming from the back which Ed fixed with some new gear linkages Dunno turned out to be a huge crack in the block. Got sold on 2 or 3 times since.

    i never knew thats the story on the car! ill let him know when ill see him.........

    ooooo btw this is my 306 cabrio
    It is a 1996 phase 1 model but i gave it a phase 2 conversion (was very easy to do!)
