Good Evening folks,

Just thought i'd jog your memories as my car is still for sale.
This is due to me not having a single person come and look at it which i'm struggling to get my head around despite it being on Pistonheads, Auto Trader and here before and after the forum change - apparently it's something to do with THE WORLD not really having any money Confused

Owned by Pugpete before me and PsJunkie before him, i've been another loving owner and it's now on 109,000 with the Cambelt and all extras fitted by Mechanical Repairs at 81k.

The car has been faultless for the two years i've had it and has no bad engine history, just miles and miles of smooth running!
It's too good to break and i won't be the one to reduce the Sigma numbers by one.

I almost started to create an advert on eBay but i really would love it to go to someone i know who would look after it on here.

It's only lightly modified and anyone interested who wants a standard one only has to shell out the money for the beam to be raised and change the front Koni adjustables. Then change the rear silencer to the standard one, and source a standard airbox.

Ask any questions here as i've got nothing to hide, it's an honest car, i'm an honest guy.
It's had an alternator, 2 wheel bearings, top mount, lightened crankshaft pulley, discs, pads, and nearly new tyres.
For the right price it even has a fully handsfree Alpine Bluetooth ipod head unit with external fitted microphone which is brilliant! All i will say is the car is now on Graphite grey Cyclones and does have clear genuine Peugeot Spotlights now and a body coloured Petrol cap cover LOL

Keep this car in the club

Thumbs up

And showing it in the Sun......

The Comps have moved on to a new owner now pal, do you think admin might be cross with me regarding this post?

It's less of a classified and more of an awareness post though Smile

Don't see why they would be if you have a classifieds ad up? Dunno you're a paid member so you're allowed to advertise after all. This is more of a discussion thread I suppose.

Surprised noone's been to see it but as I said at the time, possibly the price putting people off Sad

Looks a great example! Hope it goes to a good home, and not someone who'll paint it yellow and put some naff stickers on it Wink

I know, it baffles me! Had two people offering to swap me for "lesser" cars, but not one person come and look.

I don't even think it's badly priced at all, considering what it's had and the fact i've used it every day for two years with no major issues, it's bloody cheap, reliable and great fun!

I'd like it to go to someone who will look after it though and i'd hate a chav to pick it up even if i do have the cash in my hands as i wave it off.

It's looking like i'll be eBaying it though

Hate to say it mate but sentiment may need to be thrown away, sometimes the reality of cold hard cash outweighs seeing a chav drive off in it. If it dies, it dies, it's only a car at the end of the day

Looks a solid example of a P1 - i think you're having issues selling it on as P1's are a very niche market, even on the forum with all the GTi6/Rallye fans!

Get it up for sale everywhere - ebay, the lot....can only increase your chances of selling it on Smile

Put it on Ebay with a shed load of pics - get the car back to as close to standard as possible start the auction at 99p with no reserve and run it for 10 days

Thats what I did

I had 60 people watching it when I took an offer Yes

You would also be better off putting it back to standard bud ie raise it up and change anything back to standard - people just wont buy anything moded for good money ? I let my phase 2 factory standard diablo go for 870 which is prob what it was worth

Not too far off a cambelt change... Wink

What are you asking for it?

I put my Rallye on AT for 1795 on Friday and have only had one call about it up to now. The callers IQ seemed to be single digit so im not expecting that to lead anywhere.

Might be too Fick to haggle?

Rallyes have depreciated about £1k in 12 months.. and people thought they wouldn't get any lower!

Agreed Berger, I've come down from £1250 to £1000 and that's really factored into the price bearing in mind the cambelt. It isn't a 130,000 miler with unknown history, if i was in the market for my first GTI6 now i'd be rubbing my hands with joy at how good value they are at the moment!!
It isn't a CHEAP car but a well priced one, which will provide painless motoring......i've read so many threads on peoples problems and always think "bloody hell there's some unlucky people on here" LOL

She's on eBay now

I had the same problem not too long ago mate. Had it advertised everywhere and got no interest. I ended up breaking and getting over £1500 back, but it was a track car with quite a lot of mods.

Can not believe the state of the 2nd hand market for cars at the moment!!!!!!

I have a brilliant GTI6 which has had alot of the expensive jobs already done, yes the belt needs replacing shortly but at this stage i don't even have a bid on ebay!

Hoping for some bright spark to actually bid really close to the end and win the car.......without seeing it.......ha fat chance!

No luck shifting mine either yet.

Might drop the price slightly, but not many Rallyes for sale at the moment.
