Looks more like someone's stuck it down with blu-tak then just spray-painted over the top. Would not want to roll in that car.

Hah, they're not even cable ties, they're shoelaces with 3 coats of hammerite.

Gonna see officials at Snetterton this Saturday so them pics and documentation if they are happy I will, but if they say no way I can race I will hire a plasma cutter and cut it out.

I will then buy a proper omp cage that bolts in and I will then have the proper msa certificate

So are you looking to get rid of that cage?

Surely putting some feet on the end of the legs and have it re welded should be fine? May be a pain for you to get certified, but if you were to sell it on for example Whistle

Its kind of like a three sided box, that follows the shape of the floorpan as it rises up and becomes the bulkhead, from that angle its not easy to see much of it but I'm sure Phill will have made sure its there, maybe LOL

I don't have a photo of the front plate unfortunately, nearest I've got is this:

Which you can only just see the edge of the front triangular piece on.

Anyway, the front plate should look like this, with the green circle being where the roll cage leg meets/is welded to the plate, and the dotted lines are where I welded up the back of the tube as well to stiffen the mounting up:

Maybe LOL

The flat bit with the circle on mounts to the floor, the bit with the dotted lines on goes up the side of the sill, the triangular bit is seperate and welds between them where the footwell kinks up.
