I have a Custom Cages Club roll cage with a few extra bar added, does any one know if I can have it fia tested?________________________________________

you'll need a certificate from the cage manufacturer, they will ask for a sample of the fitters welding, plus the added pipework needs to meet the regs in the blue book.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

My intentions are to race in the Tin Tops Series maybe next year, I need to find out if my cage is up to specs I phoned CC today they said if I give them numbers from the cage which I have found they can supply me with a MSA certificate.Can anbody answer these other questions 1. Does the Seat need to be within date 2. Am I right that I need an in date harness 3. You need in date harnesses and a plumbed in fire extinguisher that has been serviced, and in date. Custom cages have told me because I purchased a club kit cl3 and purchased extra bars to make it look like a cl4 then it won't be to msa standards they said I need to check with officials or get the angle grinder out I am so p*ssed off with it all________________________________________ www.pugsport-racing.co.uk |

If it's made to Blue Book specs you'll be fine, however, custom cages do have a habit of putting non-blue book bits in (such as the b-pillar braces on the 306 kits), so they need a full test certificate though, if you have that piece it would need to be chopped out and replaced.________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. Have you got a picture of what you had and what has been added?And what tube was used for the additions? This is what I purchased from Custom Cages I also purchased 6 x 1.5 metres of 45 x 2.5 which gives me the same design as the CL4 kit they sell  Installed looks like this  They told me at the time that this would be the cheaper option which it was ________________________________________ www.pugsport-racing.co.uk |

Should be fine then tbh, so long as the rear plates are over 60cm^2 in area.I'm not certain that rear bar would though (harness bar?), I'll have to double check but I think it might fall foul of the demountable members regulations, does it bolt on top of the other tube mount or is it welded in? ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments. not sure those front plates are big enough...should be 120cm2 min, i.e 10x12 or 4"x5" roughly rear ones only need to be 60 sq cm. reinforcement tubes other than the roll cage structure are not allowed ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

That rear bar is allowed as a roll cage member though provided it is welded to the rest of the cage, really it should be between the bottom two legs but you could probably argue it's welded to the rear mounting plates...Got better eyes than me if you can see the front plates though! :edit: Yes, looking back through the project thread there should be a triangular piece welded between the corners on the front spreader plate to make up the area, I commented on that before though. ________________________________________ - Bespoke rollcages/additions/adjustments.
