i had the same problem with mine and it turned out to be a 10 amp fuse had blown for the lambda sensor or oxygen sensor(which ever you want to call it) in the fusebox near the ABS pump |

I very much doubt the icv but it could be the tps not knowing how much stick ur giving it (throttle position sensor)Does it idle lumpy at all or is idle perfect? ________________________________________ cherry p1.....SOLD (regreting this)blaze p2.....why did i buy this SOLD Black p3 |

Unplugging the map sensor and plugging it back in won't do a thing if its damaged. You would need to buy a replacement part. My car had a hesitation issue that was intermittent but frequent all the way through the rev range, almost as if you were to gun the accelerator and kick the clutch every second or so. Turned out tot be the map sensor, new one is around £20 - £40 depending on brands and location of purchase. And the icv can cause problems with hesitation too. Try taking both sensors off. Soaking them in carb cleaner (or something similar) and cleaning them with rag. Don't worry about covering up the electrical connections as they will be fine, sometimes this works but generally a new part is always preferred.________________________________________ 2005 Peugeot 206 GTI 1802008 BMW K1200R |

Try with a new tps like I said, also coilpacks are now known to be intermittent not sure if they would cause this but you never know. Def try the tps tho as it sounds like this to me________________________________________ cherry p1.....SOLD (regreting this)blaze p2.....why did i buy this SOLD Black p3 |

There should be a throttle body gasket yeah. That pipe with a split, replace it. could be completely unrelated, but should be replaced anyway. ________________________________________ |

On the throttle body, it's the big white/cream sensor.Have you taken the plugs out? If not that would be where I'd start, check general condition and also note what colour they are and if any stand out as looking different etc as this can usually show you where the problem lies. If it's as bad as you say though I'll go with fuel pump dying rather than a sensor problem. ________________________________________ Ryan |
