There's been no updates because for now the project is done. But there may be something sometime in October. Smile

well time for an update i think. ive spent a while playing with headlight bulbs and now got a setup i like. ive got white LED sidelights, with 5 LEDs in each side they are very effective and look great. that is combined with some ring +100% dip beam bulbs and some ice blue full beam bulbs. all 100% road legal and looks good and works well Big grin

now the major update, it spent a week in the very capable hands of Miles. i have to say he is a top bloke Thumbs up i really cant rate him high enough, hes a real down to earth, genuine, honest, trustworthy guy. and his work is to a very high quality. would definitely recommend him and will definitely be using him again in future.

anyway, the work he did resulted in me having an almost new car when he way finished LOL it was...
Miles' fully reconditioned gearbox, genuine Peugeot clutch, Rich W lightweight flywheel (many thanks to Rich, top quality part as alwaysThumbs up), driveshafts, wishbones, genuine Peugeot middle exhaust box, and finally rear brake pads.

its alot of work but i want to get the car as close to perfect as possible, and i can confirm it drives very nice now Big grin ...although it has now developed a "rain sensitive rear wiper" LOL Dunno its not something i want so i shall be taking the relay out the weekend and cleaning that and checking for any signs of water or faults.

Miles is good with his prices Big grin and i think its worth it, anyway these cars are cheap now so its easy to spend the value of the car on it.

im still not done, more things to do before im happy, and it stops breaking

ok so not much will happen until spring time on this (not that its been very exciting so far) but in the new year i have some bigger plans for the 6. but that will have to wait, for now just pics of it on my winter wheels and tyres. these wheels i got from Gilesy, had them shot blasted and powder coated a slightly lighter grey with some white flake at work. its running on dunlop winter sport 3d tyres in 55 profile. i would describe the ride now as "spongy" LOL

well this is an unexpected and unwanted update. some clown very kindly decided to crash into my car last week, i wasnt there so dont know exactly when or how it happened, i noticed it as i looked around the car, as i do every weekend. its only minor damage but still bloody irritating.

it broke the book badge:

and scuffed almost the whole length of the back bumper:

but after a wanted thread on here, Dangti6 quickly came to my aid with a replacement boot badge. i must give him a big thumbs up Thumbs up for great service. his price was great and had very fast delivery time, i would definitely be more than happy to deal with him again. so thankyou very much Dan Big grin

boot badge removed, and we find a big dent from the force of the impact:

and then new badge fitted: Big grin

its a job i dont want to be doing again, what looks like it should be a simple 5 minute job turned out to be a real pain in the ass, but its done now and im happy with the result. as for the bumper, i shall leave that for now and probably get a professional to look at it as i know nothing about paintwork

I can confirm that I have no idea what colour my summer cyclones are. My guess would be ford graphite grey

When did you get the Headunit? My Kenwood is almost Identical, wonder if yours is a newer version? Got mine Christmas '09 IIRC.

thanks Harry, im glad you like it, the pictures really dont do it justice, it looks alot nicer in person. if your ever down my way your welcome to check it out Thumbs up

as for the headunit i got the kenwood from halfrauds july '11, it broke aug, got a replacement, that too broke. so i now have a sony headunit which is actually a better match to the rest of the dials Big grin

oh and heres a little update, looks like this project is going like many others on here and becoming a money pit but its all good fun Big grin

a teaser of whats to come in the near future, after some suspension work, i know its nothing new to you guys but is still very cool to me

collected from Rich W at the weekend, again i have to give Rich and the guys at Lynx a big Thumbs up i was meant to be there just to collect the kit but Rich very kindly removed the silver paint from my rear bumper and then spent a long time answering all my questions about the sc kit, i love how he always makes me feel like im the only customer there, it is great service and means i will definitely be using him again for many things in the future. so thankyou Rich, and see you soon Big grin

Really? Mine is fine, although I did think for the display was starting to pack up on it... but no, just me Roll eyes

I was thinking it was going to be SC from your PM. I don't know whether I would go SC or ITBs myself. My mates 2.1 ITB Williams engine is a Beast!! Hyper However SC'6 does sound good too and it probably has better delivery than ITBs I would imagine?!

Edit Black inlet too... Looks like we are in for a treat! At this rate I may revert back to TEAM China...

I think it's down to personal preference, I can see why people go down the itb route but for me it had to be sc. it's the most power for the money and is a fairly easy conversion to do (very easy if you get Rich to do it Big grin). From the moment I experienced Daveyboys sc6 I knew I had to do mine, it's a brilliant setup.

Yes Ash, yours and Paul's sc china is one of my favourites, I've always loved that car Thumbs up
