Workman ship looks amazing and I am really impressed with the finish so far but can I be the first to say . . . I don't like it.

Something just doesn't seem to flow right - maybe it's just not for me?! Each to their own eh?!

I fully appreciate your opinion, thanks for being honest. Every time I stand next to a 3door hatch ( normally iplay's bianca 6) I look at it and think f*ck me that back end looks good. As hatchbacks go the 306 is definitely the best ever in my opinion. 205 gti second. The hatch model was what got me hooked on 306's (trusty Dturbo) and will always be fond of them. I have always been one for being a bit different though and thought the understated sedan needed some of my attention. I have always been a fan of saloon cars as my dad has always had American cars which practically are all saloons, and always liked the performance models which tend to be 2door versions of of the more door model. Of course you get your Camaro's/Firebirds, Mustangs, Chargers, etc which were 2door only, but with the "three box" silhouette. I understand that a lot of people aren't keen on saloons as they are considered to be old men's cars or boxy.
I saw a gap in the 306 lineup that I wanted to fill.
And I've done it and I love it!

There is still a lot to be done yet though, you'd be surprised at how muscular it looks with side skirts on (test fitted already). Mmm maybe ill paint them tonight.

Yeah, but if he presses the pedal all the way he'll wear the throttle cable out a bit, and have to buy another shiny new one from the dealer Whistle

Nah, it turns out he had overpacked his caliper slide pins with rubber grease that caused them to hydro lock and bind the brakes on. Wink smiley.

I would like to lower the car for visual purposes only. I love allround driveability of it standard. I like the long travel in the suspension that allows four wheel drifts when really pushing it. Is there a quality setup that will drop the ride height but keep a similar ride? Most lowered cars I've been in have been too crashy and not enough compliance.

I think you should sacrifice some four wheeled drifts for how good it will look lower, you dont want to drive like that anyway it will ruin the nice new paint job Big grin

Screw that, why buy one of the best handling hatches made and then ruin that handling in the name of going 2 inches lower?

You can go abit lower though and not have loose the feel of it, im not talking vw style slam, just so visually it looks abit nicer and you cant argue he doesnt want it for looks, as why else would he do this conversion.

I suppose it will always come down to personal preferance though, it still looks mega either way.

A big thanks to Dee (gota6again) for the parts I recieved from him ( rubstrips and clear side repeaters) . Items were as described and fast delivery. Great! I had to explain to the post office lady what living for the 6 meant though as Dee addressed the items to " Dan I live for the 6" . Lol

Bilstein B8's/eibach 30mm springs on the front, Bilstein B6's and Xsara TB's and OE beam mounts on the back and the ride comfort is spot on, it remains as predictable as before, its just a lot "better" without ruining it. Oh yeah, only lower the back by 20mm or so and it looks ace as well.

That sounds likes a nice setup Matt. The only thing is I have all new genuine suspension and it feels amazing. It was how I wanted the blaze at the time. I would prefer to keep it standard for driveability but I think this car needs lowering a touch to make the stance a bit better. What a dilema!
I thought I had this thing nailed, but there is still a long way to go!

Amazing work, I would absolutely love a 2door sedan!
Although I'd be inclined to do the same as the hatchbacks and have the fuel covers on both sides...
But then you could put in piping to fill both sides and be useful at the pumps LOL:

I wanted to put in the fuel cap covers but it involved too much chopping about as the filler points are in different places between ¾ door models. I know that sounds stupid considering the scale of the project but I wanted to keep the welding to a minimum on the rear quarters. I was worried about disturbing too much of the zinc phospher primer that Peugeot put on.

Nice work Dan think it will look good. Keep the rear the same just lower the beam 30-40mm and drop the front on 30-40mm springs or some springs and shocks and rear will feel fine. Could even click back 20mm and put xsara vts springs on front which are 20mm lower. I think a spoiler would look good on this. Evo ish but not as tall. Seen a sedan done before with one on and carries it well. ..look forward to seeing it finished.
Are the wheels the same colour?
