seatbelts from a Roland Garos?

Not really a fan of those in combination with astor (they go well with diablo though)

Nice project nonetheless!
I think the speedlines would look awesome in anthracite with a polished lip!

Just a few pics from yesterday after I washed it. I haven't flatted or buffed it yet because I'm still waiting for the paint to settle/shrink. I won't put the rubstrips or other trim on until I've finished buffing.

Thanks Matt. It's surprising how much the colour changes in different light. It sometimes looks blue, other times purple with no metallic and then it can look graphite grey. It confuses the hell out of me! Confused

Is that finish straight from the gun then? Very very impressive if so Dan. Are you a painter by trade then?

Yes its gun finish Matt. It has a lot to do with the gun and the air pressure to be honest. I'm using a SATA 4000 B Digital HVLP spray gun. Air pressure at 2 bar for lacquer and 15% thinners for a nice finish.

Actually I'm a plumber! Cars have always been a massive part of my life though. My dad has always had classic cars for a hobby and since I can remember I've always helped him out with things. I suppose a lot has rubbed off on me.

Brilliant project thread, the car looks epic! Would you consider spraying other peoples cars? If so how much would you charge for a full original colour re-spray

I would love to do this for a living to be honest. The only problem at the moment is that I work full time and would find it difficult to make time to do a thorough job. A full respray from start to finish would take 5 days.

Oh, and BTW when the enemy stops hogging my pc I will update my thread. People need to know.

I tried "member chat" but no dice.

Sorry, I'll stop spamming. Many happy returns, Dan.

Looks so different with the skirts on. It was very strange to start with because I've been looking at it without them for so long.
