Hi guys, right I have a 2.5 inch cat back Magnex with 3 inch tailpipe. I also have a blueflame decat. Now I like the sound the exhaust gives when hitting the loud pedal but would like it to be quieter in normal driving Inc motorway cruising.... I also wouldn't mind keeping the popping I get on overun now and again, although probably can't do both!!

Now do I:

1: swap the whole system for a jetex and put my cat on?

2: as per 1 with decat

3: just put my cat back on the magnex

4: swap the whole system for a scorpion and put my cat on?

5: as per 4 with decat?

6: any other ideas??

Cheers all!

Option 1 if it need to be queiter, i did love my magnex with decat, wrapped the decat with exhaust wrap to stop it resonating on the motorways which did queiten it down a fair bit..

That means buying new though as does powerflow in Aylesbury! I don't want to stump up for a new exhaust!

Not getting old Paul, I am old Laugh

I also value what's left of my hearing when I do long journeys. Been there with the Magnex and it doesn't look or sound too clever when they start to fall apart Wink

The trip over to Germany seems to get me speeding every year just to keep the noise at a reasonable level 90mph. (magnex with decat)

My centre box broke had to weld a tube in to stop the rattle. I will change it one day. Really sits off centre too now.

Exactly, 90 makes it a sensible volume!
