Small update Roller bearing wishbone's removed due to being too harsh for my liking on the road. Certainly tighten up everything to do with the front end, turn in,braking etc. But get on the cats eyes or grids etc and they are harsh! The dash rattles did my head in. Could be the combo of roller bearings and Konis So replaced them with Powerflex P-Bushes and standard Pug front bushes So once these were swapped over I had the tracking done,my TRE's were not equally adjusted which needed putting right too. Pass side was nearly fully adjusted out of the arm and the drivers side was almost all the way into the arm So got them set equally now and its driving really nice. ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Made myself a full bore non restrictive intake pipe from air filter to TB today Might make no difference at all,but kept me occupied for a hour anyway!! The standard pipe looks restrictive to me Had a bend kicking about off the Evo,so just got a 45 degree silicone bend, its now 3 inch from filter to TB ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

So did this mean that it drove straight but the steering wheel was't straight when going in a straight line? if that makes sense ________________________________________ 1997 Black GTi6smithers205 at hotmail.com |

The pass side wheel was rubbing on the gearbox on right hand lock, and the drivers side wheel was touching inner arch. That was the main reason I wanted it equal But did read on here if they are not equally matched it can give you bump steer on rough roads ________________________________________ Red GTB1756 powered Fabia VRS daily driver,LBSC Gti6 eater........Mac1 ZR R1 kit car build in progress. |

Ah o.k - reason for asking is that my steering wheel points slightly to right hand down even though the car is driving straight - thought that it may be caused by a similair issue to yours, Anyhoo I'll stop filling your thread with pointless ramblings ________________________________________ 1997 Black GTi6smithers205 at hotmail.com |
