No difference as of yet as they are still sat in my room Laugh

Bought them like a week ago and unlike you, im a bit more slack. James said you had that engine in the car the night you picked it up from Leeds Shock

Slowly getting there with the car (slowly being the operative word) It still doesnt run, and I still havent managed to test the wiring etc Doh

Been busy with prepping for the new cage though.

A few weekends ago I took a trip up to Leeds to collect the rollcage from James.

Most full my wallet has been for a while

So since then I had to remove my old cage and decided to move seats put and remove the dash. Theres a few things behind the dash I want to do like remove sound deadening, find/make holes for battery cable and boost pipe for gauge etc.

Seats out

Car still being used as a storage area

Cage is in LOL

Seem to of lost the little plastic bits that went in these holes, so another lightweight solution. Duct tape FTW

And a few of last nights progress of removing the dash. I think Peugeot quote 12 hours, and they know what they are doing. This was after about half an hour Laugh

Try and do a little bit more tonight.

Will let you know about battery relocation mate Smile

As for cage fitting, need to have it repainted. Also need to sort the dash stuff out, get the car working again, and get some plates welded in. Will be a while yet Sad

Another hour on the dash and I'm now upto this stage..

Getting there!

Just need to figure out how the main loom connector is undone.

Cage was also getting in the way with it lied down, so Ive moved the rear half to how it will fit. Very easy, thought it would be hard to get it into place with the rear section being one piece, but made easy with lack of seats.

Also, the white is really growing on me.. white and obvious, or grey and subtle.. I just dont know Unsure

I probably will do it anthracite/gun metal grey mate Yes

Dash is being removed so I can get rid of rest of sound deadening, and to find/make holes in bulkhead for battery cable and boost pipe for gauge.

Thanks very much, means a lot Big grin

Got the droplinks from here, but they seem pretty rare these days I think. Can still buy them from Peugeot Sport? Or some members of the forum make them, PhillipM or eddy_gti6 (above post) may be making some Thumbs up

Would like to, but its £100 which I cant justify when saving for a house and other things on the car that need doing.

Bit of an update then..

Will be brief as to be honest, cant be bothered to write much at the min Laugh

Dash is out

Part of heater system removed so I could get rid of the sound deadening

Removed lower glovebox as wont be able to use it when cage is in. Thought I would cut the dash up a bit to try and tidy it up (not sure I have achieved this though LOL

From this

bit of duct tape after being attached with hacksaw

Removed heater vent to make way for gauge pod

and fitted

Holes drilled in bulkhead to route battery cable to boost hose for gauge

this should do

done. top for hose, and lower for battery cable

hose routing

While dash was out, made sense to change my accelerator cable (needed doing as cable was quite badly frayed in some places)

Removed sound deadening tar from in the scuttle area. Not that neat, but that wont be seen.

Starting to put it back together

Attention to electric windows, radio and so on, specially during time when the engine is off.
I have the same battery as you, and it saved 10kgs in comparison to the original one (15,3 to 5,3)

I did think that when the battery turned up. Will check it out. Battery kit not here yet mate. Hopefully soon as dont want to put dash back on until it gets here. As long its here before weekend should be all good, probably put dash back on sat.

I will do mate, and glad someone else has one, I thought it was a bit of a punt, but thought if a motorsport place sold them, should be ok.

Shouldnt ever have radio on/windows etc while engine is off, so hopefully be ok.
