I've seen a few people have changed the colour of the lion on the bonnet. I fancy doing the same, so just a quick question - did you remove the silver coat first, or just spray over the top?

sanded marsked off and spray dude also clear also a few coats of clear lacquar

I removed the silver completely, took fooking ages though. I picked it off with a very sharp knife. Sanded it then used spray filler sanded it again then sprayed it matt black. Smile

i did mine but it stone chipped to fook within a couple of weeks so i went back to standard silver LOL

Thats exactly the look i'm going for - to offer some continuity with the satin black wheels. Do you lacquer it? and if so - did you have to source a matt lacquer??

Excellent thread, partly because this is what I am doing this weekend but mostly because I had no idea what was the best way to achieve a great result. Cheers lads.

I do however have a little ace up my sleeve that once completed I will share with world Razz It's going to be a Marmite moment but I am hoping for a little appriciation. LOL
