I dont suppose this will be of much interest to many people, but seeing spikeys for sale thread has reminded to share the big news..

My C5 steelies are now all sprayed up in white ( a courteous nod to Rallyes of old) and ready to be lovingly wrapped in R888 rubber.

I'm not sure what i'm looking forward to most - having white steelies on the rallye, enjoying r888 rubber or instantly taking about 16kilos off the unsprung weight Ninja

Depends on the tyres, but I lost about 30 kilos as I went from Accelera's + P7000's to PE2's as well.

good point - im not sure what the difference between F1's and 888's is??

the unsprung weight does make differeance and along with sticky rubber you will have a chelsea grin lol

Slipped these fellas onto the car last night, so as promised, heres a few pics.







I havent really leant on them yet, but the stiff side wall of the R888 is immediately apparent.

Looks good mate, you paint them same colour as the car or just white? looks like it was just white, still looks good tho

No just white. You're right, the wheels are a touch 'whiter' that Bianca, but they're only really track wheels so i was seduced by the large cheap cans of 'WHITE'.
