Whilst looking for a standard back box i came across what appears to be a replica box made by "IMASAF"

Cost of this is about £120 whereas an authentic gti6 box costs around £170 i believe.

Was just wondering if anyone has any expirience this and could give me a bit of a heads up before i potentially waste my money.

Cheers. Chris Big grin

Some ringing endoresments about IMASAF on alfaowner.com so it would be interesting to see what the GTI-6 one looks like. The following is from alfaowner.com:

"Well I ordered it last Sunday (Nearly two weeks ago) and it's arrived today all the way from Germany, so I'm happy with that (Wasn't expecting it until after Christmas!)

First impressions, wow, without a doubt this is the best quality pattern backbox I have ever purchased. I'm yet to fit it, however I'm confident it will be a perfect fit. I'm hoping it sounds like my old original one (Alfa OEM) in combination with the unsilenced mid-pipe. Anyway a few photos for everyone is attached to this post.

£159 inc p&p from ebay seller: BODENSEEHAI80

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/BODENSEEHAI80

And to top it all off, it came with three brand new rubbers, 2 bolts and copper alloy nuts, and even the solid ring that fits between to the two pipes!"

The FN version back box is good quality but it doesn't have the chrome tip.

Yea i know i have found a brand new 1726.80 its identical with crome tip pug have confirmed it for the 6 engine but i cant find it listed anywhere on service box against a car

After some looking i can only find it to match 2.0ltr from 93-97
Am guessing its the old original back box it turned up by chance incorrectly in an order shipment
